Kevin Tallant is a Cumming, Georgia native, and is a founding partner of Tallant Howell. His primary practice areas include local government law, contract and business litigation, probate litigation, and real property law. Kevin is a multiple time recipient of the Georgia Super-Lawyer designation, and has the honor to serve Forsyth County as a part-time Magistrate.
Prior to moving back to the Cumming, Georgia area, Kevin practiced law briefly in Atlanta and had the honor to serve a two year appointment as law clerk to the Honorable Thomas W. Thrash, Jr., United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of Georgia.
In addition to practicing law, Kevin enjoys devoting time to organizations and causes focused on the future of his community. He is Past-President of the Lanier Forsyth Rotary Club, Past-President of the Forsyth County Bar Association, Past-President of the Forsyth County Community Connection, Past-President of the Forsyth County Arts Alliance, and serves as a Member on the following Boards of Directors: the Forsyth County Community Foundation; Leadership Forsyth; the Forsyth Central High School Alumni Association; Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Community Board; and the Citizens Bank of Forsyth County. On a more regional level, Kevin served for two years as Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle’s appointee to the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission, a state agency fostering development, planning, and service provision for a twelve county area in North Georgia. Finally, through a partnership of the Lanier Forsyth Rotary Club and members of the Forsyth County Bar, Kevin established “Planning to Protect,” a program to provide free estate planning services to Forsyth County’s first responders.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Georgia, Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, with Honors. He attended the University of Georgia School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif. He lives in Cumming with his wife and two children.
